The following galleries feature completed work that BSLA has had the pleasure of providing landscape architecture services. Each project could not have been completed without a wonderful collaboration of client, designer, and the craftsman who performed the installation. BSLA thanks all who have been part of such an amazing process.
Greensboro Mid-Century Modern
A complete restoration of a Thomas Hayes design that had been left in disarray. Outdoor living spaces are defined by borrowing from the homes geometric style. Drifts of grasses layer a soft texture to contrast against the strong lines.
Old Town Georgian
Beautifully classic with layers of green against the striking white of the brick. Boxwood groupings highlight the structure of the garden spaces. Letting the architecture inform the space, this design allows details to speak using a refined simplicity.
From open pasture to a small cutting garden, this design allows for a multitude uses and experiences. Views are captured with walls, gates, & plant material and invite visitors to explore further. An entertainment terrace welcomes dining and conversation around a rustic fireplace that is set against an existing wood.
Winston-Salem Cape Cod
Boxwood groupings and drifts of hydrangeas bring a southern charm to this cape style home. Viewing gardens extend from the rooms of the home so there is a constant draw beyond the walls. A refined motor court is defined by upright hornbeams and a yew hedge.
